Derbyshire Womens Captain Wins Derby Telegraph Award

Derbyshire Womens Captain Leah Kellogg was last night presented with The Derby Telegraphs "Women in Sport Award" at a ceremony held in the City at the Roundhouse.

Speaking to Leah earlier today about her award, she said "I am so happy to have won this award; I certainly didn’t think I would win it so it was a great surprise for me. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen".

All rounder Leah has played cricket for Derbyshire for over 14 years since starting as a junior in 2005, she has been a regular in the Senior Womens team for the last 9 years. This season she has captained the Team to the T20 Division 3 Championship.

She is a complete sporting all rounder, having played county badminton and is currently the first choice goalkeeper for Derby County Ladies.

A huge congratulations to Leah on this fantastic achievement!
