DCB Club & Community Cricket Officer

Derbyshire Cricket Board (“DCB”) is the Governing body for sport in the county and supports all aspects of recreational cricket. Our Vision is ‘To have a positive impact on the lives of every person in Derbyshire through the game of Cricket’.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Club & Community Cricket Officer to join the existing team to support the delivery of our objectives. The successful candidate will have experience of working in cricket/sports development.

Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills.

Nature and Scope of the Job

The DCB Club & Community Cricket Officer - Growth is employed by Derbyshire Cricket Board Ltd to work with selected individuals and organisations in Derbyshire and will link directly to the DCB Strategy.

The main areas of responsibility for this role can be divided up as follows:

Club Development –

Responsible for the relationship and development of an allocated number of clubs in the county.

Women’s Participation –

Responsible for the overall development and delivery of the DCB Women’s and Girls Strategy

Chance to Shine Street –

Responsible for the delivery of DCB Chance to Shine Street Strategy

And KPI’s

Inclusion & Diversity –

Responsible for the overall development and delivery of the DCB Inclusion & Diversity strategy and objectives.

Delivery of Business Priority Programmes –

You will form part of the leadership team responsible for delivering and embedding National and Local priority programmes within your allocated clubs and geographical area.

Conditions of Employment:

Salary:                         £19,000 – £21,000

Expenses:                    40p per mile will be paid for travel to duties directly related to your work for the DCB as per the DCB expenses policy. This does not include travel to and from work

Pension:                       Pension Scheme Available

Hours of work:            1950 hours per year to include work on evenings and weekends as well as during the day on weekdays as directed.

Holiday:                       25 working days holiday per annum, excluding public holidays
