‘Fletch’ picked for England U15’s

Young Derbyshire batsman, Matthew
Fletcher, has been picked for the England U15 Squad. Matt’s selection was
announced during the Bunbury Festival held at Charterhouse School last week.
The Bunbury Festival sees the best 56 players at U15 level in the country
playing against each other for their respective Regions. DCB’s Executive
Manager, Howard Dytham, said: “This is wonderful news and a fantastic
opportunity for a talented young cricketer to ‘make his mark’ at the top
level of cricket in the country. Fletch has made real progress since he
first came into our county age group squads as a 12 year old. He is a
terrific lad with a great attitude to training and development. We wish him
well playing for England.”
Peter Burgoyne also performed very well
at the Bunbury’s and came very close to selection himself. We wish them
both well for the remainder of the Season.’
