Coaching Courses

Coach Support Worker course

Derbyshire Cricket Board will be running a series of CSW courses.

This one day course is an ideal introduction for volunteers wishing to assist a qualified coach in the delivery of cricket sessions. The course will equip you to set up and organise warm ups, cool downs and organise groups for small sided games. You will start to gain an understanding of player centred coaching and the supporting skills for you to deliver in a fun, safe environment.

Derbyshire Cricket Board is delivering 3 CPD’s in Coaching Children's cricket at Tibshelf School.

Please note existing Level II coaches are ideal candidates to access these CPD’s…full attendance on all 3 CPD’s will allow access to the Diploma in Coaching Children's cricket. Coaches can however choose to enrol on individual CPD’s should they require.

Young People and Adults Coaching Certificate

DCB will be delivering a Level II Young People and Adults Coaching Certificate at Tibshelf School.

This course is designed for new coaches who will predominately be working in an environment of players aged upwards of 12.

Performance factors

 

Core principles around batting, bowling, fielding and wicket keeping

There will also be off course tasks to complete including first aid, Safeguarding, DBS and an online test paper.

Coach Education Level II release dates…

DCB will be running a Level II Coaching Children's Certificate at Chellaston School on the following dates;

2nd October 2016

16th October

30th October

Assessment Day Sunday 2nd April 2017

Timings for the first 3 days are 09.00-16.00

Cost will be held at the same price as per the previous 3 years at £250 with candidates able to request a reimbursement of up to 50% (upon successful certification) from the DCB Bursary fund. Derbyshire Sport have in recent times also offered a similar deal…candidates are advised to check the Derbyshire Sport website for any similar opportunities this Autumn.
