Chance to Compete Boys Year 7/8 Outdoor Competition
Time of Year – April - July
Entry Deadline – Set by your local School Games Organiser
Start Date – April 2014
County Final – Tuesday 8th July 2014
Regional Final –July 2014
National Final – September 2014
Format –
Chance to Compete is a shortened form of cricket designed to last no longer than one hour. Each team will consist of eight players with a squad of ten. Each team will bat for a maximum of eight overs. A maximum of two overs to be bowled by one bowler the other bowlers shall bowl one over each. The nominated wicket keeper cannot Bowl. The competition will be played within each SSP and each producing one winning School to play in the County final to be held at the School Games. The winner of the School Games County Final will then go on to Represent Derbyshire in the Regional stage of the competition.

Format – This is an indoor knockout competition. The early rounds will be played in a district inter school format and the Semi Finals and Final will be played at the Gateway Centre (Derbyshire County Ground). There isn’t a Regional or National stage to this competition.
