An Introduction to ECB Clubmark            

ECB ClubMark

Why?
E
CB ClubMark is a accreditation initiative throughout the UK is partnership with Sport England. ECB ClubMark supports the development and recognition of cricket clubs that are safe, player centred and child-friedly 
 

Who?
ECB ClubMark is aimed specifically at Cricket Clubs within Derbyshire running junior sections, currently there are Clubs who are successfully accredited ECB ClubMark Pathway.

How?
The first steps towards obtaining ECB ClubMark Accreditation starts with establishing a ClubMark working group. This could comprise of Club Welfare Officer, Junior Coordinator and a representative from the Management Committee.

The next step is to register for ECB ClubMark this is done by contacting the Derbyshire Cricket Board.

Benefits
Accreditation will verify that the club has a safe and structured system for committed volunteers working with children and young people in cricket clubs.

A culture change within the community cricket clubs, embedding the standards within the ECB ClubMark into the everyday running of cricket clubs.

Engaging the whole club membership to support the high quality of junior cricket.

A well managed cricket club off the pitch, which translates to well organized activity on the pitch.

Eligible foe a key funding programmes including the England and Wales Cricket Trust Interest Free Loan Scheme and ECB Grant Aid opportunities.

Achieving and marinating high standards of junior development.

Receiving reward and regeneration from the National Governing Body, County Cricket Board and partnership locally.

Investing in and sustaining the future of community cricket clubs by prioritising junior club members.

Benefits and Recognition

ECB has a club accreditation process which brings strategic benefits to the sport and identified benefits to individual clubs that gain ECB Clubmark.
