About NatWest CricketForce

NatWest CricketForce - what does it mean?

From Friday 4th to Sunday 6th April 2014, Derbyshire clubs took part in NatWest CricketForce, an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) initiative aimed at rejuvenating local cricket clubs and giving volunteers an opportunity to get involved.

A record 89 clubs, from all parts of the county, had registered for the 2014 event which saw volunteers committing thousands of hours of work into their local cricket clubs. The volunteers’ work would enable clubs to get ready for the new season, as well as saving them significant sums of money.

Cricket Derbyshire’s Cricket Development Manager Mick Glenn said: “It is great that so many Derbyshire Clubs are getting involved and it is particularly pleasing that we continue to attract new participants. NatWest CricketForce can benefit any club so I am delighted that we have such a diverse range of clubs taking part.”

The next NatWest CricketForce event will be the Fundraiser which is traditionally held over the August bank holiday weekend.  The NatWest CricketForce Fundraiser is designed to encourage cricket clubs to organise events to raise funds for future NatWest CricketForce projects and bring clubs and communities together.
