Wilson wins it for Lincolnshire U13s

Lincolnshire U13 v Derbyshire U13 at Market Rasen CC on 7th June 2011

After a tight opening spell from Matt Newbold (5-0-13-2) and Sam Cork (5-1-10-0) Derbyshire had Lincolnshire on the back foot at 23-2, however the rest of the Lincolnshire innings was dominated by Jack Wilson who closed on a fantastic 116 not out, with only Aidan Marsh and Tom Hill picking up the wickets of Thomas Keast (18) and Adam Lilley (21) as Lincolnshire posted a challenging total of 188-4.

As in the first innings Derbyshire were pegged back early on in their reply by some tight bowling from the Lincolnshire opener bowlers Benjamin Peck & James Keast, but partnerships between Ryan Bramwell (29) & Tom Hill (21) and then Bramwell with Alex Moore (36) put Derbyshire back on course around the halfway mark but as the Derbyshire batsmen looked to keep up with the run rate wickets and momentum were lost with only Elliot Savidge (19not out) able to score off the Lincolnshire attack at the required rate in the final overs of the innings.
