Introducing DCB Ltds' Directors

Chair – Chris Hartley

Chris brings invaluable experience from previous roles in Education and a longstanding involvement in junior cricket in a number of areas. He has been involved in providing strategic direction for the development of the junior game throughout the County supporting parts of the Player Pathway (junior club cricket, girls and women’s cricket), Coaches Association, Sport in Education and Junior Leagues to ensure more young players have an opportunity to play and progress in cricket. Chris has been Chair of the DCB since 2016, and was a director prior to taking on this role. He is also a trustee of the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation.

    
Director - Bob Blenkinsop

Bob spent over 25 years working in senior Human Resources roles for Ford Motor Company and Rolls-Royce, before establishing an independent management consultancy. He is actively involved in local cricket as a Junior Coordinator, junior coach, and very occasional player at his local club. His involvement in grassroots sport also extends to football, and he is currently Vice Chair of a local junior football club. Bob joined the DCB board in May 2016, and has lead board responsibilities for Human Resources.

Director – Dave Jepson

Dave is a qualified accountant with over 20 years experience in a variety of accounting and finance roles in different organisations. Dave has also been involved in cricket in Derbyshire in many capacities for around 40 years. His experience includes numerous club roles, being a member of the Derbyshire County Cricket League Executive Committee and involvement in Disability cricket. Dave has been a member of the board since 2013, and currently has lead responsibilities for Finance.

 
Director - Dave Bull

Dave has been involved with cricket in Derbyshire since 1994. His many roles at Club, District and DCB level are driven by a desire to help make the game more accessible and more enjoyable for those wish to take part. His contribution to cricket has been recognised on two occasions when he was awarded the Service to Sport award by South Derbyshire District Council in 2014 and the ECB when he won the first ever outstanding achievement award at the ECB OSCA's in 2003 for leading Elvaston Cricket Club into becoming the first Cricket Club in the County to be Clubmark Accredited.

 
Director - Keith Redfern

Keith gained extensive senior-level commercial experience during a long career with Rolls-Royce. He has served local cricket as a qualified coach, groundsman, and umpire, for many years, as well as being a committee member of his local club and district development group. Keith is actively involved in his local church and community, and serves as a trustee of several charities. He has been a director of the DCB since 2015, and serves as the Company Secretary.

Director - Bob James

Bob joined the Board of Directors in December 2016 after extensive experience as a player, coach and administrator in the recreational game. Having played Minor Counties cricket for Staffordshire, as a Level 3 coach he coached County Age Group sides for many years, including most recently the DCB under 17s. At club level, in a variety of roles including chairman, he oversaw the considerable expansion of participation and facilities at Rolleston CC. He is also a member of the Derbyshire County Cricket League Executive Committee.

After a long professional career in education, Bob is committed to the development of young players. As DCB director with responsibility for the player pathway his aim is to make that the County's young cricketers have every possible opportunity to realise their full potential and be the best they can be.
